MEMBERSHIP  REQUIREMENTS  and  DUES

Membership in the Knowles/Knoles/Noles Family Association is open to anyone whose birth name or married name is or was Knowles by any spelling variation.    Membership is also available to anyone who is a descendant of a Knowles family by any spelling variation or to anyone researching a Knowles genealogy.   Membership for libraries and businesses is also available.   Membership requires a valid email address.

Membership Dues for Individuals are $20.00 per the Association's fiscal year that runs July 1st thru June 30th.   See schedules below for the dues requirements for other Membership Classifications and for Life Memberships.

(Note: If you join the Association between January 1st and June 30th, your membership will be valid thru June 30th of the following year). 

Some features of this Web site may be PASSWORD protected and only available to Association members.   Knowles Genealogy Reports are only available for purchase by Association members.  

Please access the MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION to join the Association or to renew your membership.

All membership classifications require the submittal of an annual membership application.

The primary purpose for having a dues requirement for the Association is to provide:

  Financial support for the genealogical research efforts conducted by the Association,

  Supplementary funding for the Knowles Surname DNA Project,

  Funding for the Knowles Library (members may visit the Library at no cost)

Dues for the Association will be waived for anyone purchasing a Knowles Y-DNA test per the schedule below.  Membership in the Association is not required to participate in the Knowles Surname DNA project.  See GENETICS for more information on the DNA Project.

All communication from the Association, except for purchased reports will be by email and this Web site.

The KKNFA is a non-profit organization; IRS 501(c)(3) application is pending.
